Those trucks are pretty much new (never used) - but made 20 - 30 years ago. As for new Army trucks like Kamaz, Ural etc. you are right, they start at about $30,000. -Dima |

Oh and also, here's a few new Videos
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G9R5Coqrkw - ZIL-4972 6x6x4 being put through testing with a ballast weight attached... It's interesting to know that these trucks are not actually manufactured by Zil, but by PZRA www.pzra.nnov.ru , they also produce the Zil-4906 http://legion.wplus.net/guide/army/tr/zil4906.shtml (some very cool videos here!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7B9av2eG2E - Zil-134 from the 50's, I doubt there were any trucks that could match the off-road capabilities of this thing - then and even now. -Dima |

AFAIK it is an independant company that manufactures radio equipment but also has a division that makes these ZIL trucks (they concentrated production of special vehicles there for some reason, maybe because of more qualified personnel that works more precisely and doesn't make as many "bugs" - after all this is life saving equipment..)
