Default Croatian Gun

Does someone know details about this gun?
It was build by J. Barbarić in 1944, in the small village of Čelebić, Livno. Some 100km east of Split Croatia.

I'm originally from this area and i never heard about it. So im pretty much interested. Also it was e extremly poor area with bad education chances. Because of that so many Croats from this area left for Western Europe and overseas Countrys like USA, Canada or Australia. So i seriously doubt that there were ehough skilled workers for the work.

The only fact i knows that one piece is dislpayed in Belgrade Army Museum.

Looks like a Mauser broomstick a little. 7.63 mm.

And a little like the french machine pistol, the one with the clip that can fold to the front...can not remember the name.

While in Bosnia during the war there was an incredible amount of WW2 machine pistol and such.

Kind of walking through a live Museum. Carefully.

In the early beginning there were some Thompson MPīs from the Reserve Stocks used, also some copyed Mauser rifles in 7,9mm. The "Garonja" Machine gun is AFAIK almost the same as the MG34 but it were build in Yugoslavia. Later only the "Garonja" remained in service, everything else was replaced with a bunch of AK of different orgin. Mostly cheap Romanian and Chinese models. Special Forces used mostly the Serb AK (Zastava M70) and the Belgian FN FAL.

Not belgian FN FALīs but argentine FM FALīs (mostly FAL PARA with side folding stocks) also some irregulars like units of the HOS used the argentine submachinegun FMK3 in 9mm.
