Default Home made .50 cal Sniper rifle?

Army and federal agents confiscated the following in Durango City, MX from drug cartel gunmen. Can someone ID that sniper?

It could be. Never seen it before. Some local newspapers said it was a Barret.

No idea but that looks like a god awful uncomfortable stock, no recoil pad, no cheek rest.

Now get the narco-piojosos and impale them with that odd rifle up their buttz.

What i dont get is these raids show that the Cartels have enough weapons and emo to make for a "hollywood" gun fight scene, yet their asses always get caught with only a few rounds fired if ever there is one.

I'm voting it's not real. I don't know why you'd make a fake one, though the lack of working parts points to those clues.

Some kids toy maybe?

no its real alright, its a single shot bolt action rifle. to me it really looks like an ar-50 with a wooden stock that some one fitted it with.

I would guess it is a McMillian TAC-50 action with a homemade unfinished stock (no recoil pad) and a 3rd party barrel, possibly with Barret muzzle break or clone.

TAC-50:

barrett model 95

There is a magazine inserted into it.
