I've only got a German helmet m1935 from the ss, I don't have it with me at the time, so no pics, maybe later. It isn't in a good shape anymore (A large part of it's interior Leather is missing and some paint is missing) cause it had been lying in a swamp in Latvia together with his owner for over 60 years, poor bastard.
But I'm considering to expend my collection over the years.

well when you can take a photo and post it, that would be great. I used to have about 8 or 10 world war II German helmets and i sold them all a few years ago as the undug ones bring a lot of money in the USA.
So I don't have any German WWII anymore, still have some old photos I can scan if interested.
I do have Italian WWII, a couple of French helments same era and Japanese helmets same era, some British and USA helmets of various eras, as well as odds and ends.
the German WWII helmets are very interesting to me due to the variety of types of helmets they issued as the war dragged on (M42, M35, as well as civilian helmets for police, firefighting etc.)

i think the ridge is called a "comb" and was used by some of armies on helmets in WWI. I can get top view pix.

Heres is a top view of three of the French WWI helmets with the "comb" on top, you can see difference in each helmet. top one is made from two pieces of steel and there is a ridge around the middle where the two pcs of steel meet. the comb is fastened with bolts on 2 of these, and on the third I think it is either welded or ??

I may be wrong, but the Mle 1915 Adrian should be a blue grey for WWI and there should be a front badge

Dont have pics available right now, in the middle of moving

But so far have a
M1917 Helmet
2X M1 front seam McCords w/ westinghouse liners
M1 front seam Schlueter w/ Unk. liner
M40 Stahlhelm (double decal)
Soviet Ssh 40? I found in Iraq
Japanese Navy helmet, no liner, cover rotted
PASGT-1985 issue (- a bro from 2/4 IN Hollbrien)
ACH
The only one which cost me anyhting was the ACH.

The black one you think is Swedish is British known as the Tortoise and introduced in late 1944.

This might be of some help with regards your items:-

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/milita...ollectorsclub/

Adrian helmets were used by:-

France,

Belgium,

Italy,

Imperial Russia,

Imperial Romania,

Peru,

Japan,

China,

U.K. (Used by RAF ground personnel early WW2)

Greece,

Nationalist China.

Trialed by the Republic of Ireland and rejected for a Vicker's Copy of the German stahlhelm.

a few more...more modern types etc:
believe this is east German as used in partitioned Berlin post WWII..

this is a US "civil defense" steel helmet used by civil defense wardens during WWII, normally had a decal on front, this one didn't

USA steel pot, with liner, and a british camo net:

liner that is in above steel pot:

another US steel pot, slightly different color and texture: (again with british camo net i believe)

Dutch M34 numero #1.

Has 2 decals of the 'Schalkhaar politie' on it, an Dutch police unit trained and educated by the Höhere SS- und Polizeiführer Nordwest (of Hanns Albin Rauter.)
Everyone who wanted to work for the police was send to that school in Schalkhaar, explaining the name. Original green paint (Dutch Military standard) is still visible.
The unit still has a bad name due to it's involvement in razzia's against jews in The Hague and Amsterdam, while there were also a number of 'Resistance fighters' in it.

Front plate is missing, seeing it was made out of copper and it reflected light in the evening as they had to be polished. Alot of soldiers removed the plate due to that reason.

Dutch M34 numero #2.

If I have to believe it's previous owner this helmet belonged to a soldier who fought in 'Ockenburgh', a land property which used to be an military airfield, which got attacked by the 3./Fallschirmjäger Regiment 2 (and some other units of the 22nd Luftlande Division & other Infantry Units which were not supposed to land there) on 10 May 1940.
It ended up in his attic for 66 years.
*Not really spectaculair, but I live near Ockenburgh so it has a personal value.*

(Front plate missing also..)

German M42 with winter camouflage.

A friend bought it as souvenir on his journey to Poland.

British/Canadian helmet found by a farmer near my Aunts house.

Perhaps a relic of the Breskens Pocket/Operation Switchback. (Part of the battle of the Scheldt.)
