Amazing how well preserved it is. It makes you wonder how many more undiscovered soldiers there are in Russia.

Reminds me of this short story by Hebel from 1811 about the young miner killed before his wedding and preserved in vitriol. Lazarev was shot down by the german ace Rudi Müller, who was shot down himself two months later and dissappeared in a POW camp, presumably shot while trying to escape. Strange that both were almost exactly the same age and might have been friends and fellow aviators in a better time... |

It appears that the pilot is in better condition than his aircraft. Amazing piece of science despite the human tragedy.
