That's nuts. Merkava's next to the road, not even a bloody fence or nothin'. Hmmmmm, anyone know how to hotwire a tank?

I seem to recall an incident prior to a Gaza operation a couple years back where the was a field of APC's and whatnot near the border, and some reporters wandered around taking pictures because there was nobody around guarding them.

If I'm not mistaken those APCs were decoys in case of a cross border attack.

I heard one such APC was hit by an RPG at the Kerem Shalom Attack in which Gilad Shalit was abducted.

Yea...especially without houses and plenty of military hardware.

Hi
The place where the Merkavas were staying was a shooting range. Approx. 100m across the road, behind the old tank (I dont know what type) there was a military base. In the pictures with better resolutions it is possible to see targets (vehicles).
Could somebody translate these signs ? thnx

Just got back 2 days ago. Really sorry I didn't get a picture of the three F-15s refueling at extremely low altitude in the Negev near Makhtesh Ramon. I usually avoid taking any military pics since not sure what's OK or off-limits -- but the guy I was with (doing a desert wildlife tour) later pointed out we were less than 10km from the Egyptian border, and even if I didn't take pics, every Egyptian intelligence officer or soldier with a cellphone along the border did -- and that IAF obviously wanted the capability to be known. I will kick myself for missing that shot for a long time.
