Yeah, the SEALs had a limited number of HK33s. Photos of them, with them, are rare. I think this is the only one i've seen, besides a short video clip.

They were not HK 33, they were a clone made by Harrington & Richardson called the T223.

Notice the use of Levis 501 blue jeans by several SEALs for operations in wetlands....they were more silent than baggy fatigues.

But they're blue... also the camo glares and the watch is exposed...

What's your opinion of that? I think he just wore the jeans in barracks and put on the ammo and the gun just for a pic. Because jeans also limit your agility.

I first saw that pic about 7 years ago, nice to see it again. I always thought it was a G3, but now I see the longer magazine....

Seriously, it's explained in several books I read about SEALs in VN how some operators prefered to use denims instead of fatigues during amphibious Op.

The colour was often not a problem because the wetness made the denims much darker and a lot of Op were carried out a night anyway.

A pic of that rifle was posted a few weeks ago in a thread about SEALs weapons IIRC...I only know of two pics of SEALs with T223 anyway.
